Covenant University sacks Registrar over #Trending Sex Scandal

It began when one of the understudies distributed a now-erased string on Twitter claiming that two female understudies surrounded him, saying he engaged in sexual relations with one of them, which is against the school's tenets. He included that he didn't do it and had complied with the school's tenets for as long as five years he had been contemplating there. He was in the end removed. He included that he recorded a claim against the college and won. He additionally blamed the school's enlistment center Dr. Olumuyiwa Oludayo of having sexual illicit relationships with female understudies. The previous understudy later erased his tweets. Later on, one of the women included discharged an announcement on Twitter, dispelling any confusion air. See underneath: Screenshots of a chat between a student and Oludayo released after the initial thread were later released. In the screenshot, the registrar had requested to be the woman’s “intimate ally”. Today, an audio clip is making the rounds, said to be that of the school’s chancellor, Bishop David Oyedepo during the school’s chapel service for 100 and 200 level students. Oyedepo said in the clip: From this day henceforth, no student, whether male or female, must be found having an intimacy ally. If you’re found, then you’re gone. We did not apply to you, you applied to us. I say, if you misbehave, you’ll be sent out with ignominy. Caution, caution, caution. Vice Chancellor, Dean Student Affairs, Registrar, oh, we don’t have a registrar at the moment. But I have spoken and this is law.

FG, Labour and the new minimum wage

THE organised labour has issued a statement saying it would embark on a nationwide strike on Tuesday  November 6, 2018, over the impasse on the new minimum wage with government. It accused government of being disingenuous with the whole process. I would advise that the federal government calls Labour to table and resolved this matter once and for all by reaching a reasonable comprise and save Nigerians yet again from another bout of untold hardship, and the country’s fragile economy from continuous hemorrhage. Resorting to the old-fashion tactics of intimidation, blackmail and trickery have never worked; it would only make matters worse. This is against the backdrop of the recent release of a White Paper by government on the no work, no pay rule of engagement. The timing of this White Paper is ominous.  Why now that Nigerian workers are agitating for a pay rise?  The government should know that the Rights of Nigerian workers are enshrined in the tr...
